Person Who Grabbed Ariana Grande at Movie Premiere Prohibited from Singapore
A man from Australia who vaulted over a barricade and grabbed celebrity Ariana Grande has been sent away and barred from Singapore.
Johnson Wen, 26, was given a sentence to nine days in prison for being a public nuisance and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," the country's border control informed local media.
The man shoved beyond security and rushed toward the celebrity, who was attending the Asian premier for the musical adaptation on November 13. Co-star Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.
The individual has a record of interrupting performances and celebrity events, including leaping onto the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in the past June.
The occurrence caused anger in Singapore, with numerous people accusing him of causing further distress to the star.

During Wen's trial, the court heard he had tried to gain access on the red carpet event twice, according to Singaporean media.
