The First Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Across the gaming landscape, enthusiasts continue to ring the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform for the first time. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it becomes clear that the green gaming company remains determined to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its premier subscription.
The Current Inclusions
A pair of titles currently accessible today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's worth getting excited about.
Major Titles on the Horizon
Starting January 13th, the subscription service will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that refreshes typical Ubisoft design with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, previously described as "a superb mixture of horror and action."
Compelling Indie Titles
But even the smaller games coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year could captivate you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Well-Rounded Collection
In summary, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service alone. However, this batch of games are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they warranted upon launch — rendering them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
